Perched on Nob Hill, this French-Gothic landmark—the third-largest Episcopal cathedral in the U.S.—is famous for its twin towers, bronze "Gates of Paradise," luminous rose window, and two indoor labyrinths. The soaring 91-ft vaults and sweeping city views make every celebration feel timeless. ⛪
Getting There
By Car
- • Enter "Grace Cathedral Garage, 1051 Taylor St" into your GPS (directly beside the church, 5:30 a.m.–midnight, daily max ≈ $36).
- • Metered street parking around Nob Hill is limited to two-hour stays, and Sacramento St becomes tow-away 3–7 p.m. on weekdays.
- • Important: Because we're expecting a large turnout, the garage and street spots will fill quickly. If you must drive, arrive early or pre-book an off-site space (SpotHero has several within a 5-minute walk).
Skip the parking hassle—highly encouraged!
Public Transit
- • Cable car: California Line → California & Taylor stop (1-min walk)
- • MUNI buses: 1-California, 27-Bryant, 30-Stockton all stop within a 3-minute walk
Ride-share
The groom swears by Uber (not Lyft 😉). Ask to be dropped at the California St front steps—the driver can conquer the hill for you.
Car-pool
Team up with friends or family to share a ride—it eases Nob Hill traffic and the planet.
